New water supply will get city on tap again

The Hamilton Spectator - - CANADA & WORLD -

Saskatchewan’s third-largest city should have new sources of water by the weekend as it continues to deal with an oil spill in the North Saskatchewan River. Prince Albert shut down its intake from the river on Monday to protect its treatment plant and the public from water tainted by the Husky Energy pipeline leak. Crews have set up pumps and run a giant 30kilometre-long line from the plant to tap the South Saskatchewan River — there’s also a shorter line to the Little Red River.
