Transport truck strikes five vehicles

There were no serious injuries Friday when a transport truck struck five vehicles. The truck was northbound on Mountain Street around 3 p.m. when the driver lost control as it came down the escarpment. It collided with five vehicles as it crossed Elm Street and came to rest on the lawn across from Syndicate Restaurant. The doors of one vehicle had to be forced open by emergency crews.
