OPP ‘dedication, compassion’ captures a pot-bellied pig
Smokey, the pot-bellied pig is safe thanks to Ontario Provincial Police.
Officers from the OPP Brant detachment were called to a family home Tuesday morning after the three-month-old family pet escaped, police said.
Officers drove around the family’s home on the Twelfth Concession until they spotted Smokey.
“After a short foot chase (the officers) caught the family pet,” Const. Ken Johnston said.
“Because of the dedication and compassion” of the officers the pig was returned to its family.
