Fu­neral Thurs­day for Marvin Ca­plan

A fu­neral for Hamil­ton businessman and for­mer city coun­cil­lor Marvin Ca­plan will be held Thurs­day at 2 p.m.

The ser­vice will take place at the Beth Ja­cob Syn­a­gogue, 375 Aberdeen Ave., with in­ter­ment to fol­low at Beth Ja­cob Ceme­tery.

Ca­plan was a busi­ness and real es­tate bro­ker at Rob­binex Con­sult­ing In­ter­me­di­aries on Stu­art Street.

Be­fore serv­ing on coun­cil, he was a pop­u­lar cloth­ier and the op­er­a­tor of Marvin Ca­plan Gentle­men’s Ap­parel at Ef­fort Square on King Street East in down­town Hamil­ton. He had an­other store in Burling­ton in 1990-91.

Ca­plan is sur­vived by his wife Judi, a lo­cal re­al­tor, four sons and seven grand­chil­dren.
