We need a Trump for Canada

The Hamilton Spectator - - OPINION - RE: Trump presidency

Many people have little or no respect for politicians these days. Whether it’s not keeping campaign promises or folding to special interests. Finally, “The Trump” has arrived. During his first week, he used Executive Orders to kill Obamacare, reinstate the Keystone pipeline, laid the law down to auto manufacturers about out-ofcountry production and banned ISIS sympathizers. His approach may be akin to a “bull in a china shop”, and the policies will probably limit the number of Americans whose Christmas card list he is on, but these were campaign promises that he has acted on with lightning speed. All of the bleeding hearts are up in arms with him. If the first week of his mandate is an indication, he will be revered as the president who gets the job done. We need a Trump in Canada to shake the foundations. Steven Hill, Hamilton
