Council just wasted a quarter-million

The Hamilton Spectator - - OPINION -

RE: Council’s decision on ward boundaries

Please help me understand this. The city does not have the staff to do a job, so we hire “expert consultants” to redesign ward boundaries — at a cost of $260,000. Our councillors do not like the report, so decide that they, after all, know best, and conduct and approve their own recommendations. Please give the consultant’s report to me and I will promise to shred it, so the taxpayers don’t have to endure that additional expense. More than a quarter of a million dollars wasted. Sad. Joe Benedetti, Hamilton
