Jeopardy! proves The Spectator has a clue

The Hamilton Spectator - - LOCAL -

If you didn’t already know, The Hamilton Spectator is officially the answer. Or maybe we just have a clue? Well, we made it on “Jeopardy!” Thursday night, anyway.

The popular trivia game show — you know, the one starring everyone’s favourite Canadian quizmaster, Alex Trebek — asked contestants Thursday to link newspapers from around the globe to their country of origin.

Kirstin Cutts, a returning champion from Austin, Texas, earned $600 for correctly guessing The Spec’s Canadian digs.

Local Twitter users gave the 170- year-old paper props for its, er, trivial moment in the sun.

“Congrats to the Hamilton Spec- tator for being a jeopardy question!” tweeted Amber Morrison. “We’re on the map now.”

The Hamilton Spectator was an answer (worth $600) on Jeorpardy. A contestant from Austin, Texas, knew the newspaper’s country of origin.
