The Hamilton Spectator - - LOCAL - THE HAMILTON SPECTATOR

A truck driver was rushed to hospital after a rollover Friday on Highway 403.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the westbound lanes of the highway, just west of the Lincoln Alexander Parkway, around 5:35 a.m.

A tractor trailer had rolled onto its side, landing in the ditch on the side of the highway.

Paramedics say the lone occupant of the truck’s cab had suffered a medical emergency when the vehicle crashed.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

The truck had been carrying household garbage.

Fire crews checked the fuel tanks and confirmed they hadn’t ruptured in the crash.
