Driver struck by car in ef­fort to stop thieves

Po­lice are look­ing for two men who stole a food de­liv­ery car Fri­day night near Garfield Av­enue South and Vineland Av­enue.

The men hopped into the de­liv­ery man’s car while he was tak­ing a break and started driv­ing away around 7 p.m.

He tried to stop them but the car struck him, leav­ing him mi­nor in­juries, po­lice said.

The sus­pects were last seen speed­ing off at Sher­man Av­enue North and Can­non Street East.

Po­lice later re­cov­ered the car, a white 2016 Honda Civic, in the area it was last seen.

Po­lice are look­ing for two white men, both 25 to 35 years old.

One is de­scribed as be­ing five­foot-six to five-foot-10. He was wear­ing a hooded shirt.
