Stunt drivers lose cars, licences
Police have charged two men with stunt-driving after they were found going roughly twice the posted speed limits. Their cars were impounded and their licences were suspended for seven days.
A 19-year-old Hamilton man was clocked driving 116 km in a 60 km/h zone on Friday just before 8:30 a.m. at Highland Road East and First Road East. And just before 3 p.m. on Sunday, an officer got a speed reading on a car going 141 km in a 70 km/h zone at Ottawa Street North and Nikola Tesla Boulevard. A Hamilton man, 50, was driving.
