Stunt drivers lose cars, li­cences

Po­lice have charged two men with stunt-driv­ing af­ter they were found go­ing roughly twice the posted speed lim­its. Their cars were im­pounded and their li­cences were sus­pended for seven days.

A 19-year-old Hamil­ton man was clocked driv­ing 116 km in a 60 km/h zone on Fri­day just be­fore 8:30 a.m. at High­land Road East and First Road East. And just be­fore 3 p.m. on Sun­day, an of­fi­cer got a speed read­ing on a car go­ing 141 km in a 70 km/h zone at Ot­tawa Street North and Nikola Tesla Boule­vard. A Hamil­ton man, 50, was driv­ing.
