Young man badly beaten and left unconscious near Hess Village
Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a man was badly injured in a street fight near Hess Village early Saturday morning.
The man, 22, was found unconscious and with injuries to his face after police say an argument escalated into a fight just outside the nightclub district just before 2 a.m.
He was rushed from Main Street West and Queen Street South to hospital, where he was later reported to be in stable condition and is expected to recover, police said.
The two-man fight ended with one fighter on the ground and the other walking away.
But then a group of men approached and assaulted the man on the ground, “causing serious injuries and rendering him unconscious,” police said.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the assault or anyone with information about it to contact them.
