We also made a mess in theatres

The Hamilton Spectator - - COMMENT -

RE: Shame on the movie theatre litterers (Feb. 11)

I am a senior that has a very different memory on how well behaved our generation was. I grew up in Toronto and on a Saturday afternoon we went to the theatre. Families were larger so you would be in a group. It was rare to see an adult in the theatre. We paid to see these Brated movies. I do remember The Blob and the theatre was packed.

At the end of the movie to show our approval we would stand up and scream. Then we would take our empty popcorn boxes and throw them up in the air. The place was a huge mess when we left. As an adult, I have never been to a theatre that equalled the mess we left. Colleen Harrison, Hamilton
