Man charged in Family Day Beer Store break-in

-

A 36-year-old was caught breaking into the Beer Store on Family Day. Police say they received an alarm call from the Beer Store at 1400 Upper James St. Monday around 7 a.m. When officers arrived, they discovered a man had busted in through the back door. He was charged with breaking and entering and possession of burglary tools. All Beer Stores were closed Monday for the holiday. “He couldn’t wait, I guess,” Staff Sgt. Chris Hastings said Monday afternoon.
