Turns out ‘liberal media’ is a compliment

As a longtime reader of The Spectator’s editorial pages I have begun to notice a growing frequency in the parroting of the term “liberal media.” Jason Worth is so outraged by the coverage of recent events that he uses it twice in one letter. A quick check of the Oxford English Dictionary defines the word “liberal” as ... “Fit for a gentleman. Not rigorous or literal, open-minded, unprejudiced.” Which of these attributes does Mr. Worth find so objectionable? Mark Summers, Waterdown
