Pair sought in attempted armed robbery
Hamilton police are searching for two suspects after an armed robbery at a King Street West gas station last week.
Police were called at 4:25 a.m. on Feb. 5 after two men attempted to rob the Esso at 648 King St. W.
One of the men “brandished a weapon” and demanded money from the register. The second suspect also demanded cash, but they fled empty-handed.
Police refused to disclose the type of weapon “to preserve the integrity of the investigation.” No one was injured. The first suspect is described as a black man, with a lighter skin tone, thin build, in his late teens to early 20s. He was dressed all in black, including a mask and jacket with the hood up.
The second suspect is also described as a black man with a lighter skin tone, in his 20s, with an average build. He was wearing a black mask, a green /grey jacket with the collar up, and black hood underneath with a black maple leaf symbol on the left side. He was also wearing blue jeans and tan shoes.
