Po­lice seize drugs, cash and car at two homes

Two Hamil­ton men are fac­ing drug charges fol­low­ing a three-week Hal­ton po­lice in­ves­ti­ga­tion into crack co­caine traf­fick­ing.

On Wed­nes­day, po­lice ex­e­cuted two search war­rants at res­i­dences in Stoney Creek and Hamil­ton, seiz­ing drugs, cash and a car. They also ar­rested two men. Hal­ton po­lice said the es­ti­mated street value of the drugs seized is $1,540 and in­cludes 12.2 grams of crack co­caine, 45 Per­co­cets and 14 grams of mar­i­juana. Po­lice also seized $1,140 in cash and a 2002 Pon­tiac Grand Prix.

Jonathan Hel­lam, 28, of Stoney Creek, is charged with two counts of pos­ses­sion of crack co­caine for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing, pos­ses­sion of Per­co­cets for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing and pos­ses­sion of mar­i­juana.

John McKenna, 33, of Hamil­ton, is charged with pos­ses­sion of crack co­caine for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing and two counts of breach­ing pro­ba­tion.
