Dun­das pair charged af­ter drugs seized

Two peo­ple have been charged with drug-re­lated of­fences af­ter Hamil­ton po­lice searched an apart­ment and ve­hi­cle in the area of Gov­er­nors Road and Tally Ho.

Shortly be­fore 6 a.m. on Wed­nes­day, Hamil­ton of­fi­cers con­ducted the search. Po­lice started an in­ves­ti­ga­tion af­ter re­ceiv­ing in­for­ma­tion about sus­pected il­le­gal drug traf­fick­ing.

Po­lice seized nu­mer­ous items, in­clud­ing mar­i­juana and sus­pected psilo­cy­bin-laced edibles; more than 300 grams of pro­cessed mar­i­juana and 60 pill cap­sules filled with cannabis resin. A man and a wo­man have been charged. Christo­pher Pike, 20, and Carly Fines, 22, both of Dun­das, face sev­eral charges in­clud­ing pro­duc­tion of cannabis resin and pos­ses­sion for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing - cannabis resin.
