Speed was a factor in serious Binbrook motorcycle crash
Speed was a factor in a motorcycle crash in Binbrook Thursday that left a rider in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A 22-year-old Binbrook man remained in stable condition Friday after being thrown from his motorcycle about 6 p.m. Thursday, Hamilton police said.
Collision reconstruction unit investigators believe the motorcycle rider was passing another vehicle when he lost control, left the road and was ejected.
He was southbound on Highway 56 near Kirk Road.
The crash scene, south of Binbrook Road, was closed for several hours.
The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking witnesses to call Det. Const. Walter Niblock at 905-5464753.
