A request for balanced coverage

The Hamilton Spectator - - OPINION -

RE: Anti-Semitism

As a regular Hamilton Spectator reader, I found many stories about unfair treatment of Muslims, but was disappointed to find no mention of the recent increase in the acts of anti-Semitism taking place across Canada and the United States, including dozens of bomb threats sent to Jewish community centres, and a cemetery desecration in the United States, as well as anti-Semitic graffiti and acts of violence taking place here in Canada.

Finally, on Feb. 23, I found mention of graffiti on a Hamilton Rail Trail in a minuscule article on A7 and, of course, a large Trump-bashing editorial on the opinion page which criticized the president for not condemning the American anti-Semitic events sooner.

Really! At least President Trump took the time to acknowledge the anti-Semitic incidents; as did Vice-President Pence and Prime Minister Trudeau.

What about the Spectator? Michael Feldman, Dundas
