Nar­cotics stolen dur­ing phar­macy rob­bery

Hamil­ton po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a phar­macy rob­bery where a man stole nar­cotics.

Po­lice were called to the Lo Presti Phar­macy at 770 Con­ces­sion St., at the cor­ner with East 31st Street, shortly be­fore 5:30 p.m. Fri­day for the rob­bery.

It’s be­lieved a man wear­ing dark cloth­ing, with his face cov­ered, en­tered the phar­macy, de­manded nar­cotics and then fled with an undis­closed amount of drugs.

Po­lice, in­clud­ing the K-9 Unit, searched the area, but the sus­pect had es­caped. He is de­scribed as a white male with a medium build, and is ap­prox­i­mately five-foot-seven. Po­lice warn the pub­lic that con­sum­ing any type of nar­cotic that is not pre­scribed can be harm­ful and even deadly. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion is asked to call BEAR unit Staff Sgt.
