Toronto buyer impact underestimated

RE: Quarter of local homes bought by GTA buyers (April 26)

The Hamilton Spectator - - OPINION -

The report which suggests that a quarter of Hamilton’s house sales are made to people in Toronto is interesting, but surely an underestimate. When my wife and I moved from Toronto to Hamilton and bought a house in 1989 we made sure to use a Hamilton agent. Who better to know the Hamilton market?

I would bet that there are many Torontonians who use Hamilton agents, suggesting that their influence on the Hamilton market is very substantial. Richard Harris, Hamilton
