Four masked sus­pects sought in con­ve­nience store rob­bery

Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing af­ter four masked sus­pects as­saulted a con­ve­nience store clerk dur­ing a rob­bery Mon­day.

It was around 7:30 p.m. that the group en­tered the Daisy Mart at 181 Main St. W. and ap­proached the vic­tim, po­lice say.

Po­lice say it’s “un­known if a de­mand was made” be­fore the group as­saulted the vic­tim.

The four sus­pects, who were all dressed in dark cloth­ing, then fled the scene in a dark-coloured sedan.

The vic­tim sus­tained non-lifethreat­en­ing in­juries and was trans­ported to the hospi­tal by paramedics.

Of­fi­cers searched the area, but the sus­pects were not lo­cated. The in­ves­ti­ga­tion is now on­go­ing.
