Gandhi Reflection

The Hamilton Spectator - - OUR PULSE - ANANYA SINGH, GRADE 8, ANCASTER MEADOW

My collage is about Mahatma Gandhi. In my collage, I used the principles of balance, variety, and emphasis. The balance in my art is radial as there is an equal amount of information throughout the space of the collage. There is variety in the tones in the face and the background colour contrasts with Mahatma’s face. The emphasis in the collage is Gandhi, who is placed in front of a motif of peace symbols. I chose Mahatma Gandhi because he fought for my country using peace as his weapon. During war, he would get hurt but he would never use violence to hurt the enemy. He is recognized as the father of India and because of him, India achieved independence.
