Can we get a restaurant near Hortons field?

The Hamilton Spectator - - OPINION -

RE: Tim Hortons Field precinct

With the new soccer tenant along with the Tiger-Cats using Tim Hortons Field, is it too much to ask that someone take initiative and open up a restaurant/bistro/gathering spot in the area? Other than Tim Hortons, Subway or McDonald’s, where is there to go for a bite to eat before or after an event?

Since city council had no vision of where to place the new stadium, possibly someone with vision can see the potential. If you look at the area that is bordered by Main Street, Gage Avenue, Barton Street, and Sherman Avenue, what new development was initiated by the stadium?

Compare this with what was developed around TD Place in Ottawa, and other sport venues across North America.

Visionaries and entrepreneurs please apply. John Vasapolli, Hamilton
