The Hamilton Spectator - - WHEELS -

A new supercar from a former F1 champ: Two-time Brazilian Formula One champion Emerson Fittipaldi, who now calls Florida his home, has a plan to launch an ultra-expensive two-seat mid-engine sports coupe. Only 39 examples of the Fittipaldi EF7 GTR are planned. Under the hood is a 4.8-litre V-8 supplied by Ford that makes 600 horsepower. The track-only car will carry a price tag of US $1.5 million when it goes on sale next spring.

Big and tall SUVs: If the 2017 New York Auto Show is any indication, the automobile industry hasn’t forgotten the oversize utility vehicles that many buyers can’t seem to live without. On display were the 2018 Buick Enclave, Lincoln Navigator, Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, 2018 Subaru Ascent, Infiniti QX80 Monograph and the Genesis (Hyundai) GV80 concepts. These models were in addition to the previously announced Acura MDX Sport Hybrid, Alfa Romeo Stelvio, Range Rover Velar and Volkswagen Atlas.

Only 39 of the track-only Fittipaldi EF7 GTR are planned.
