We want more than local news

The Hamilton Spectator - - OPINION -

RE: Who cares about non-Hamilton news (May 12)

Recently, I found an old newspaper in my basement from 1979 called The Spectator, now known as The Hamilton Spectator. The older reported news locally and internationally, as does the new.

I have never known the The Spec regardless of which city name you attach to this title to report only local news. A good, respected and responsible news outlet will inform their readers and viewers of the diversity and happenings around the globe. That is why I subscribe, that is why I read it! I’m not sure what planet the letter writer fell from but I do have a suggestion for you — unsubscribe, don’t read and stay in your glass house in your little corner of your world!
