A woman was struck by a transport truck on Highway 403 at the Aberdeen Avenue exit just before rush hour Tuesday afternoon.

“At this point in time, there’s no apparent signs of foul play,” OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said around 6 p.m.

Emergency vehicles, debris and investigators forced the closure of lanes in both directions between Abderdeen Avenue and the Lincoln Alexander Parkway.

The pedestrian trail immediately above the highway was also closed and secured by police.

Schmidt said the coroner would take over the investigation.
