13-year-old girls of­fered ride by strangers in mini­van: Nor­folk OPP

PORT ROWAN — Nor­folk County OPP are try­ing to track down two strangers who three 13-year-old girls say of­fered them a ride in their mini­van.

The girls were walk­ing west on Bay Street in Port Rowan when two men in a mini­van driv­ing the other way stopped to chat with them around 4 p.m. Satur­day.

The driver asked them how old they were and where they were go­ing, po­lice say.

The driver said there was enough room in the back of the mini­van to give them a ride.

The girls de­clined and walked away.

The mini­van con­tin­ued west to­ward High­way 59.

A con­cerned par­ent re­ported the en­counter to po­lice.

Nor­folk OPP are ask­ing the pub­lic to help iden­tify the men and mini­van.

The driver is de­scribed as hav­ing a dark com­plex­ion with short, black hair and a mus­cu­lar build. He’s about 19 to 20 years old.

His pas­sen­ger was white with short, brown hair with an av­er­age build. He’s also about 19 or 20 years old.

The mini­van was de­scribed as sil­ver with an or­ange, red and white com­pany logo on its side slid­ing door.
