Smile Challenge

The Hamilton Spectator - - OUR PULSE - LIV MCISAAC, GRADE 9

People are simply integers. Just ups and downs on one big spectrum. Some cancel others out, And sometimes the positives are not great enough, To overpower the negatives. Math is a language. Fractions are transitions, Expressions, phrases, And numbers; Words. Math is a language, And people are integers, So I guess that makes people languages too. But we are far from the same. Are we different because of our eyes, Or our tongues? Perhaps we don’t all speak the same language, Perhaps some are higher, And some are lower. Because people, Are simply, Integers.
