The return of the Jaguar E-Type: One of the most iconic of Jaguars is set to return, albeit as one of 10 factory-restored models. The “reborn” sports cars that were originally built between 1961 and 1968 (Series 1 editions) contain mostly original parts, including 3.8- or 4.2-litre inline-six-cylinder engines and four-speed manual transmissions, plus a few upgrades in the interests of safety. Prices have been set at the equivalent of US $355,000 per vehicle.

The sale of Donald Trump’s Italian sports car: A 2007 Ferrari F430 that was previously owned by the President of the United States recently sold an auction in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for US $240,000 (plus selling commission). That price was well below the high of US $350,000 that Auctions America estimated the car would bring, but still higher than the average sale price for similar models.

The 10 factory-restored E-Types are priced at about US $355,000 each.

Donald Trump’s Ferrari F430 sold for well over market value.
