Hamil­ton scores $2 mil­lion in fed­eral gov­ern­ment grants

The fed­eral gov­ern­ment has of­fi­cially an­nounced $2 mil­lion in Canada 150 in­fras­truc­ture grants for a dozen Hamil­ton projects.

The city re­ceived word about the project cash in Jan­uary, but the fi­nal­ized list of projects was con­firmed in an an­nounce­ment at Auch­mar House Fri­day by Lib­eral MPs Bob Bratina and Filom­ena Tassi.

The projects to re­ceive fund­ing fo­cus on im­prove­ments to her­itage build­ings like Auch­mar House, ac­ces­si­bil­ity im­prove­ments like re­pairs to el­e­va­tors in com­mu­nity cen­tres and fixes to play struc­tures and splash pads.
