Father’s Day tour
The HMCS Haida offers a unique setting to spend time on Father’s Day. A special event marking the day will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 18. It will feature a scavenger hunt, a family photo challenge and a guided tour at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The event, at 658 Catharine St. N., is free, but to register and purchase $7.30 tickets for the tour, call 905-526-6742.
Human trafficking will be the focus of a community awareness event June 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mainway Recreation Centre, 4015 Mainway, in Burlington. Speakers will include human-trafficking survivors and an advocacy group. Donations of hygiene supplies and new backpacks are welcome for survivors. For more information, email email@example.com.
