Fa­ther’s Day tour

The HMCS Haida of­fers a unique set­ting to spend time on Fa­ther’s Day. A spe­cial event mark­ing the day will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 18. It will fea­ture a scav­enger hunt, a fam­ily photo chal­lenge and a guided tour at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The event, at 658 Catharine St. N., is free, but to regis­ter and pur­chase $7.30 tick­ets for the tour, call 905-526-6742.

Hu­man traf­fick­ing

Hu­man traf­fick­ing will be the fo­cus of a com­mu­nity aware­ness event June 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Main­way Recre­ation Cen­tre, 4015 Main­way, in Burling­ton. Speak­ers will in­clude hu­man-traf­fick­ing sur­vivors and an ad­vo­cacy group. Do­na­tions of hy­giene sup­plies and new back­packs are wel­come for sur­vivors. Aging well

“Age Well: It’s Up to You!” is the name of an event fo­cused on em­pow­er­ing se­niors June 1 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Oakville at the Queen El­iz­a­beth Park Com­mu­nity and Cul­tural Cen­tre, 2302 Bridge Rd.
