Five peo­ple in­jured in Oakville phar­macy heist

OAKVILLE — Five peo­ple were in­jured when armed thieves sprayed a nox­ious sub­stance dur­ing a phar­macy rob­bery Mon­day night.

Halton po­lice Duty Insp. Kevin Ma­her said three of the vic­tims were taken to hos­pi­tal with non­life-threat­en­ing in­juries af­ter the Guardian drug store heist at Trafal­gar Road and White Oaks Boule­vard.

Around 8 p.m., two men with hand­guns en­tered the phar­macy and dis­persed the spray on staff and cus­tomers. They stole cash and nar­cotics and fled to a wait­ing car op­er­ated by a fe­male driver.

The first sus­pect is de­scribed as a white man in his 20s who has a thin build and short, buzzed blond hair. Less de­tail was pro­vided for the sec­ond male sus­pect. The other was a white woman in her 20s who had long, black hair. They drove way in a small white car.
