Watch out, your town may be next
RE: Leash-free parks
We woke up one morning and found there’s a new law — our children can no longer run loose in the park on our road. We will have to keep hold of them all the time. “Local residents have complained.”
We’re all retired around here, we’re empty-nesters. So our “children” are our dogs. Sure, they’re a bit loud, untidy and messy, but they’re energetic and good company — just like children. They love to run around with each other, and we love them dearly.
Our Littlejohn park was the last off-leash park in Dundas (the nearest is Rock Chapel). It’s been 30 years. A big loss. Watch out — your town may be next. Tony Carr, Dundas
