My past knocked on my door, It walked right in. It dragged its mud stained boots Down the hall, Mess­ing all the floors, And coat­ing all sur­faces. It soiled ev­ery­thing. I am un­able to rid my­self Of the stains it has left. Now here I am, A hur­ri­cane, A dirt­ied ground. I still can’t help but miss you.
