In­va­sive species lead to fish­ing clo­sures

Two lakes in Bri­tish Columbia have been closed to sport fish­ing af­ter the in­tro­duc­tion of in­va­sive species that the prov­ince says could be dif­fi­cult to re­move. The gov­ern­ment says both lakes in the east Koote­nay re­gion, will not be stocked with trout un­til the large-mouthed bass and yellow perch pop­u­la­tions have been erad­i­cated. .
