BMXer in brawl at Jackson Square gets conditional discharge
A young BMX rider charged with assault in a brawl with Jackson Square security guards that was videotaped and posted to YouTube in 2014 has been given a conditional discharge in court.
Tyler Rizzi — who at the time was 24 and gave an address in Whitchurch-Stouffville, pleaded guilty last November to assault.
After several missed court dates — one of which he was on a plane travelling to Europe — he was finally sentenced June 27.
Rizzi was given a conditional discharge and put on probation for 18 months.
He is also prohibited from owning or possessing weapons for five years.
