The skies above the Ancaster Fairground­s were full of kites Sunday as the Ancaster Agricultur­al Society hosted its first kite show. Visitors could make their own kites to fly as well as take in live music and some of the massive kites flown by serious kiters. Here, Brayden Jonkman, 11, of Drayton, launches his kite while his grandfathe­r’s life-size juvenile blue whale kite measuring 16m long, floats in the distance.
