We shouldn’t have to pay for daredevils

The Hamilton Spectator - - OPINION -

RE: Waterfall safety

We seem to have some difficulty dealing with the falls around Hamilton.

The problem: 1. people who ignore signs and fences, erected for THEIR safety. 2. Those who must be rescued, at the expense of the city, after disobeying those signs and fences.

The solution: Fine the daredevils who ignore the signs. Make them responsible for the total cost of their rescue. Our firefighters have a dangerous job. They should not be put at risk for thrill-seekers. Don Hill, Hamilton
