Hamilton athletes won three medals at the International Children’s Games in Kaunas, Lithuania, last week.

Nifaiya Robinson took a silver medal in the boys 400-metre final, while Mark Skerl took bronze with a personal-best leap in the long jump. Eileen Tang and Christina Yamnyuk also won bronze in beach volleyball.

There were nearly 2,000 young athletes from 75 cities from around the world competing in the 51st Games.

Hamilton’s Greg Maychak was re-elected to the 12-person International Committee for the Games, and Ed Dunn, president of ICG Hamilton Inc., says Hamilton plans to participate in the Games for a 28th time next year in Jerusalem.
