The Quilt of Be­long­ing dis­play opened this week at the Cot­ton Fac­tory and will be on ex­hibit un­til Au­gust 16. The 36.5-me­tre quilt is made up of 263 pieces, 70 of them rep­re­sent­ing First Na­tions com­mu­ni­ties and all made by Cana­dian vol­un­teers rep­re­sent­ing ev­ery coun­try in the world. The Quilt of Be­long­ing has been trav­el­ling across Canada to mark the 150th an­niver­sary of the coun­try. At bot­tom, close-up im­ages of some of the quilt pieces.
