Some tips for the Ticats

RE: Tiger-Cat football

We attended a home game for the Ticats June 16. It was an exhibition game, so it was not exactly sold out.

When my wife and I arrived at Tim Hortons Field, we were surprised to see large lineups to enter all gates. I understand the reason: implementing a new security check using a wand as well as checking bags, purses, etc. We waited a full half-hour to enter. I hope the organization corrects the situation.

The bigger issue was that new security areas were not cordoned off properly. A lot of cheaters were able to enter closer to front, by drifting toward the centre of these two large lines. Police were at the game but they did nothing to prevent those cheaters from butting in. My beef is not with the police officers. Ticats need to have those simple barriers that you see at banks, and airports, etc. to stop those cheaters from entering ahead of others who actually waited in line.

Our next home game is Saturday. I hope they can make a big improvement to fix the delay and deal with those cheaters. Of course, I really want to see our beloved Ticats stop the losing skid! Tom Gabriel, Hamilton
