Woman, 23, dies following weekend Waterdown crash
A 23-year-old Barrie woman injured in a crash Saturday night in Waterdown has died.
Hamilton police said the woman, whose name has not been released, died Monday.
She was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a 45-year-old Hamilton man that struck another vehicle from behind.
The accident happened about 9 p.m. on Saturday on Highway 5, at Mill Street.
The 45-year-old driver was also injured in the crash, but was soon released from hospital.
A 67-year-old Brantford man, who was westbound on Highway 5 when he was struck from behind, was not injured.
Police said the exact cause of the woman’s death has not yet been determined.
