One public school system takes away choice

The Hamilton Spectator - - OPINION -

RE: It’s time for one school system (July 13)

Letters and comments about wanting to eliminate the Catholic school system and have only one publicly funded school system come about twice a year. The writer seems to be writing from an economical perspective only. And since I am a Bible believing Protestant, and therefore neither a public nor Catholic school supporter, I advocate for a Christian School and adhere to the Biblical injunction in Deuteronomy 6 where it says we are to teach our children about our Lord God all their waking hours. In the Christian School, all subjects are taught from a Christian life and world view. (Protestant) Christian school supporters must, by law, pay education tax but may not make use of that money, a serious inequity. One public school system takes away your choice and infringes on freedom of religion. Steven Elgersma, Hamilton
