Polestar gets the electric treatment: As AMG is to Mercedes-Benz, Polestar will soon be to Volvo. The racing team that was once affiliated with Volvo and eventually purchased outright by the automaker

will now focus its efforts building high-performance electric vehicles for public consumption. The Sleuth hears that a combustion-free sports car is in the works right now.

Bugatti Chiron’s top speed: The limited-edition 1,480-horsepower replacement for the Bugatti Veyron ultra-luxury sports car is capable of 280-plus mph (450 km/h), but Bugatti has electronically limited the Chiron’s maximum velocity to 261 (418 km/h). BUGATTI The Chiron could go 280 mph (450 km-h), but there are no tires available to handle the speeds.
