Po­lice in­ves­ti­gat­ing Mud St. pharmacy rob­bery

Hamil­ton po­lice are look­ing for two men who stole pre­scrip­tion drugs from a Shop­pers Drug Mart early Mon­day morn­ing.

The two men en­tered the store at 270 Mud St. W. just af­ter 2 a.m. with their faces cov­ered and de­manded drugs, po­lice said.

Po­lice said both sus­pects were armed and or­dered staff to the ground. Af­ter re­ceiv­ing an undis­closed amount of pre­scrip­tion drugs, the two men fled, po­lice said. Po­lice said no one was in­jured. One sus­pect was five-foot-nine, be­tween the ages of 30 and 35 with brown skin, dark eyes and a medium build. Po­lice said he was wear­ing a black hoodie, base­ball hat and gloves as well as dark shoes and a bal­a­clava. He was car­ry­ing a weapon in his right hand, po­lice said.

The other sus­pect was five­foot-10 with a thin build. Po­lice said he was wear­ing jeans, a light-coloured long sleeve shirt, a tuque and dark gloves. He was also car­ry­ing a weapon.
