Hamilton woman, 68, suf­fers life-threat­en­ing in­juries in Brant crash

A Hamilton woman suf­fered lifethreat­en­ing in­juries in a col­li­sion on High­way 54 in the County of Brant on Tues­day af­ter­noon.

Brant OPP, am­bu­lance and fire­fight­ers from the county and Six Na­tions re­sponded to a sin­gle-ve­hi­cle crash be­tween Old Onondaga Road and Pain­ter Road.

Po­lice say a sil­ver Honda head­ing west failed to ne­go­ti­ate a curve, went into the north ditch and rolled over.

The driver, 68, sus­tained lifethreat­en­ing in­juries. She was sent to a Hagersville hos­pi­tal, then air­lifted to a Hamilton hos­pi­tal.

Brant OPP says speed is be­ing con­sid­ered a con­tribut­ing fac­tor in the col­li­sion.
