The Wood­land Cul­tural Cen­tre shares the sig­nif­i­cance of the wam­pum belts in Hau­denosaunee cul­ture, specif­i­cally the “Two Row Wam­pum,” which was an agree­ment made in 1613 be­tween the Mo­hawk and Dutch set­tlers.
