Big banks can’t touch credit union service

The Hamilton Spectator - - OPINION -

RE: Whatever you do, don’t use the B word (July 18)

Having used the services of Canada’s Big 5 banks for many years, my partner and I switched to local Hamilton credit union this past spring. As much as the Big 5 banks may try, they will likely never reach the level of service our credit union provides. The Big 5 banks can advertise all their wonderful services but their bottom line is to make lots of money to ensure there are huge profits to post each quarter.

It may take a bit of time to find the appropriate word to describe using a credit union for financial transactions, but hopefully it will be something that indicates that service and the best interests of the customer are our credit union’s bottom line.
