Ontario’s Minister of Finance Charles Sousa was recently in Welland to mark the grand opening of the Walker Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre.

The new centre, which is affiliated with Niagara College, houses more than 15,000 square feet of lab space for hands-on learning and on-site working space for companies, students and industry staff.

The goal is to help small- and medium-sized manufacturers save on production costs and reduce production time by providing access to equipment, research facilities, students and faculty.
